El Tambo is located in the southern Andes of Ecuador, so as you have already seen from our photos, our territory consists of climbing mountains (literally). As you can imagine, it's not always easy, as we are reminded everyday how out of shape we are, but since most people here, even the locals, 'feel' that daily reminder, we don't feel too bad:)
There is one special area of Tambo with a great look out over the town. We were assigned this territory a few days ago. We were working together that morning so the area was new for the both of us. When we arrived to this little village of homes, there were 4 little girls that greeted us. We asked their names and ages. They ranged from 3-6 yrs old, I believe. They said they lived in that village, so we gave them tracts that they could bring back to their parents. They were so excited to get them! When they saw that we were going house to house, they wanted to help us, so they would tell us "No one lives there" or "They're not home there, but they're home over here!" and point to the house. It was so cute!
After we finished this little area, we needed to climb up this dirt 'road' to almost the top of the mountain to reach a few other homes. By this time, some of the brothers that were working in another area of the territory met up with us. As we started our hike, the little girls started yelling "Can we help you? Can we go with you?" Once again, it was so cute:)
Here are some pics from the area, take a look:
This is the mountain we're about to climb...

We had to walk quite a ways just to reach the road leading to this 'village'
